Weather providing Sunday's Zzz Skate (August 29th) will depart at 10:30AM. Group up location is Piedmont Park (at the 10th Street entrance). See the skate details below
Skate details:
- Pace: 9-11 mph
- Distance: 8-10 miles
- Duration: 1-1.5 hours
- Group up at 10:15AM at Piedmont Park near the 10th St entrance (across from Charles Allen)
- Departs at 10:30AM
- Brunch around 11:30PM in the Va-Hi neighborhood (location TBD)
Requirements:
- Control speed using a heel brake
- Helmet
- Wrist guards
Water is strongly recommended.
The Zzz Skate is back! Beginning Sunday April 25, 2010, the weekly Sunday Zzz Skate will be back for the summer. Why skate the Zzz? You'll want to skate it for the following reasons:
* Rolls at the speed of the slowest skater
* Emphasis on streets and PATH which are too dark for night skates
* Alternating routes each week
* Suitable for skill levels beginner to intermediate
* Brunch!
